Dein Post weckt in mir eine grad eine sehr angenehme, ruhig-zuversichtliche Stimmung, die ich sehr mag (hab’s versucht mit einer näheren Beschreibung und bin kläglich gescheitert…). Dieses angenehme Gefühl werd‘ ich mir hier morgen sicher noch mal abholen, danke!

The photos are beautiful. We tried this summer to photograph webs in the garden, but really didn’t get any to turn out – you certainly did a wonderful job!! Aren’t some of them intricate – like fine lace.
I’m so pleased that you were able to get the the lovely poem translated Barbara. Spiders webs are indeed a beauty to behold at this time of year. As I drive through the valley, I see fields and hedgerows adorned with them, all glistening with sparkling dew drops. Unlike you, I’ve never had my camera with me to capture their beauty. Your pictures are delightful, its not easy to choose a favourite, but I think the rose with her gossamer veil is exquisite. Marion

They certainly are some spiders webs Barbara. Only ever seen them that big and thick in North Caroliba.
I wrote a poem last year when watching a spider weave a web – I must post it.
Barbara, we did not visit any of the gardens yu mentioned. This was because we are members of the National Trust and we had a number of their gardens to visit which of course we do not pay for.
We would have needed 2 weeks to visit all the gardens in the area.

Ich hatte mich auch vor ein paar Tagen an solchen Fotos versucht: Aber erstens haben wir nicht so fantastisch große Gebilde im Garten, zweitens fehlte der verzaubernde Tau und drittens sind die Fotos längst nicht so eindrucksvoll geworden. Und ein so schön dazu passendes Gedicht hätte ich auch nicht als Begleitung gehabt. Also schaue ich mir dieses Stück vom Herbst lieber bei Dir an und stürze mich auf andere Motive…

Spider webs are so intriging and beautiful, and often frustrating when you try to photograph them, but you have done it so well.
You got REALLY good photos! Also I loved your poem. Here the weekend was nice +15 but quess what the forecast tells it will be +18 on Tuesday. Thats not usual in autumn in Finland. Well, I dont mind….I used all my Saturday evening decorating my front door. Now its ready for autumn and winter. Hugs Maria

Liebe Barbara, jetzt hältst Du mich bestimmt für doof. Aber iiiiigittigitt! Spinnen und deren Netze. Ich schreie laut, wenn ich da irgendwo rein gerate. Weiß ja, dass sie auch zur Natur, erst recht zum Garten gehören. Sie sollen ja auch ruhig leben. ABER NICHT BEI MIR!.
